Why should I get my transmission serviced?
Transmissions operate at high temperatures, pressures and have many moving parts. When the transmission is in operation and starts to warm up; the pressure and heat causes wear on the transmission fluid and the transmission parts. This wear is then circulated though the transmission until it reaches the pan where it is stopped by the filter and magnets in the transmission pan. The fluid over time also becomes woreout due to the high heat and pressures in the transmission. You should service your transmission as recommended or it could lead to costly repairs.

Remove transmission pan
Inspect the fluid condition and pan for signs of wear
Replace the transmission filter
Clean the transmission pan and install it with a new gasket
Fill the transmission to the proper level with the recommended fluid
